Here you can take a look at a selection of the events that took place around the 800th anniversary celebrations of Magna Carta. 

 

As well as the Great Charter Festival held on the 14th June, Royal Holloway's world-renowned Choir and music fellow, Rebecca Miller, preformed for the Queen at the Magna Carta 800th anniversary celebrations on the 15th June. 

Many exhibitons were held on campus, including 'Magna Carta and the Loss of Liberties' in the Picture Gallery and an exhibition on the changing landscape of Magna Carta over time by local artist Alan Perriman. 

An app was also created by nineteen students from Royal Holloway. 'Runnymede Explored' allowed people to explore the world of Magna Carta. It featured seven trails and a field guide to exploring paths around the Runnymede site. It includeded a Children's Trail, a History Trail, an Ecology Trail and much more. The app is available to download on the Apple and Android stores.
